I was born 10:26am on the third of October 1989 in Pretoria, South Africa. I was born along with a boy, Stephen, (who came two minutes later) completing my family of six. I have two elder brothers, Michael (by six years) and Nicholas (1 year) and a mother and a father.
In January 1994, (Me aged 4) my family emmigrated to New Zealand (the second time for my parents and Michael - Nicholas being born there previously, before the went back to SA after 16 months). Although we struggled and missed our extended family greatly, we settled in very well, and now, 14 years later, proudly call ourselves NZ citizens. (Ok, well, we still prefer South Africa, but we appriecate NZ all the same!)
I finished off my final year of High School at Waikato Dio in the 2007 year (which I am stoked to say I was a Chapel Prefect), Stephen finished off at St Pauls (where our Dad is Asst Principal), Nicholas is currently studying his second year of Engineering at the University in Cantebury and Michael has graduated recently as a Doctor after 6 years of intense studying in Auckland. My Mum is a nurse at the regional hospital.
I am now studying Computer Graphic Design at Wanganui School of Design, this year. Hopefully that'll lead me into a career I enjoy, but at the moment I am open to every possibility.
I am Christian, and was raised on the basic beliefs of what a Christian family lives by, but most of my choices religion-wise have been my own, though I have been greatly influenced by my eldest brother and a handful of my friends. I still don't say my life is "filled and centered upon Jesus" because that would be a lie. However, I love God very much, and will stand up for my religion (though not force it on anyone as I believe everyone is entitled to their own views.)
I wish to further extend my idea of what Christianity is (being accepting and tolerant of all faiths and leaving the judging up to God) by someday having my own "mission" where children of all faiths (particularly those who are less fortunate than others) come together to have fun in the arts (drama, art, music, dance etc).
My goal at the start of 2007 was: Wants 2007 to be the best year it can be
Did I achieve that goal?: I did. I have had the most amazing year. It had it's downs, but overall it's been the best year of my school life I could ever hope for.
My Goal for 2008: Be successful in everything I try - especially in University classes. Also to become a better Christian.
